Sooo Pinoy: Food Trip na Pilipinas!

Sooo Pinoy’s purpose is to feed every Pinoy's love for Filipino food by providing information about the most popular Pinoy national and regional dishes and helping diners identify the top Filipino restaurants in the country. This project is spearheaded by Unilever Food Solutions, the food service arm of Unilever Philippines.

Feeding our love for Filipino food, Sooo Pinoy aims to get to the belly of what makes our cuisine special and uniquely ours. From the history and evolution of Filipino food down to the restaurants that best serve them, Sooo Pinoy aims to help diners discover more about the diverse Filipino cuisine.

Unilever Food Solutions (UFS) and the Department of Tourism (DOT) through its Tourism Promotions Board recently signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to promote local cuisine and tourism through the Sooo Pinoy Food Tour.

This year, the campaign that boosted Pinoys’ appetite for Filipino food, will go around the country to sample the culinary delights of different regions. The Sooo Pinoy Food Trip is the biggest food tour in the country. Here, Sooo Pinoy goes deeper into the heart of Filipino cuisine, putting a spotlight on the best regional dishes. More than 200 restaurants throughout 12 cities are joining this endeavor. Together with an entourage of media partners to feature regional restaurants and hotels in digital, print and TV media, Sooo Pinoy Food Trip will visit the different restaurants in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao to experience firsthand each place’s take on signature local cuisines that represent the country’s culinary diversity. In this nationwide food tour, the Sooo Pinoy campaign aims to attain greater heights with our local regional dishes.
