Cook the Corn

Make the Corn Cheese Topping

  • Mozzarella Cheese, shredded 80.0 g
  • Cheddar Cheese 80.0 g
  • Spring Onions, sliced finely

This viral corn cheese is quick and easy to prep. It’s the perfect starter for a Korean feast or a side dish for grilled meats and spicy stews. Serve it on a sizzling plate or cast-iron pan to keep it gooey the entire time.

Preparation

  1. Cook the Corn

    • Prepare the corn properly. If using fresh corn, boil the corn cobs for 15 minutes and then cut the kernels off. If using canned corn, drain it.
    • Combine corn kernels, mayonnaise, sugar, pepper, and Knorr Aromat All Purpose Seasoning Powder in a bowl. Mix well.
    • Heat a skillet over medium heat and melt butter. Add corn mixture and cook, stirring occasionally, for 5 to 7 minutes, or until heated through and slightly caramelized.
    • If using fresh corn, boil the cobs for 15 minutes and slice off the kernels. For canned corn, drain it thoroughly before use.
  2. Make the Corn Cheese Topping

    • Sprinkle cheese evenly over the corn mixture.
    • Reduce heat, cover pan, and let the cheese melt for 2 to 3 minutes. Alternatively, transfer the mixture to an oven-safe dish and broil in the oven until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
    • Once the cheese is melted and bubbly, remove from heat. Garnish with finely chopped green onions if desired. Serve hot and enjoy!
