Preparation

  1. Make the Batter

    • Add yeast and sugar to the warm water. Mix until dissolved.
    • Let the mixture sit for 5 minutes or until it becomes foamy.
    • In a large shallow container, combine flour and salt.
    • Gradually add the yeast mixture until smooth.
    • Let batter rise for 1 hour at room temperature or overnight in the chiller until it has a stretchy dough consistency.
  2. Prepare the Chicken

    • Season chicken with Knorr Chicken Powder and Knorr Liquid Seasoning. Skewer them evenly in bamboo sticks.
    • Wrap each chicken strip with cheese. Arrange each chicken strip seam-side down on a tray to keep the cheese in place.
    • Repeat with remaining ingredients.
    • Cover with cling wrap and keep in the freezer for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Prepare the Smoky Bacon Ranch Dip

    • Mix all ingredients in a bowl. Set aside until ready to use.
  4. Prepare the Honey Caesar Dip

    • Mix all ingredients in a bowl. Set aside until ready to use.
  5. Cook the Corn Dogs

    • Combine cornstarch, sweet potatoes, and corn kernels in a tray. Mix well.
    • Dip frozen chicken strips into the prepared batter using a twisting motion. Make sure the entire piece is covered.
    • Roll the battered chicken in the sweet potato-corn mixture.
    • Pack each strip with breadcrumbs. Use your hands to press everything together.
    • Heat oil to 180ºC. Fry fritters for 5 to 6 minutes or until golden brown.
    • Let fritters rest on a cooling rack.
    • Serve hot with prepared dips.
