Black Rice Prawn Sinigang Paella
Paella made Pinoy with sinigang flavor, featuring tasty seafood, healthy grains and vegetables. It's innovative, yet simpler than your usual paella.

Tomatoes, chopped 120.0 g
Adding the rest

Black Rice 500.0 g

Water 2000.0 ml

Gabi, small dice 120.0 g

Green Chili Finger 30.0 g

Okra, cut on a bias 120.0 g

Eggplant, small dice 120.0 g

String Beans, cut into 2 inch lengths 120.0 g

Kangkong leaves, picked and cleaned 45.0 g

Prawns 1500.0 g
Preparation

Sauce Preparation
- Heat the oil in a pan or paellera or cazuela.

Adding the rest
- Add the onions and tomatoes, saute.
- Stir in the black rice and pour 1500 mL of the sinigang broth (water, tamarind soup base, and shrimp powder).
- Add the gabi and cover to cook for 15 minutes.
- Half way through the cooking process, add the rest of the ingredients and cover to finish cooking.
- Transfer to serving bowls. Serve the excess broth on the side.
